Researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital published a paper in the Journal of Pediatrics on this topic. They reported that, between 2010 and 2014, 18,116 children were involved in fatal motor vehicle accidents and that 15.9% of these children died in the crash. In fact, motor vehicle injuries are one of the leading causes of injury and death among children. Restraining children properly in cars could save the lives of many children each year.
