One of the side benefits of being a lawyer is hearing the crazy stories about things that happen in court.  This week, the American Bar Association Journal reported that a West Virginia Judge pulled out his gun during a hearing and pointed it at several litigants.  The lawyer who filed a complaint about the incident says that she had private security with her at the hearing, due to threats she had received.  When her security came into the courtroom, it seems the Judge objected stating "Aren't me and my guns and security enough? My guns are bigger than your security's guns."   When asked to respond to the complaint, the Judge reportedly stated that he pulled out a first-aid kit, but not a gun on the day in question.  Needless to say, the entire incident is under investigation.  To read the whole article, click this link Judge points Colt 45 at Lawyers
